Golf de Pals is the first golf course in the Costa Brava.  The first nine holes opened in 1966 with the second nine opening in 1970.  Two years later the course hosted the 1972 Spanish Open.  Thanks to the care in design and construction the course is considered one of the best golf courses in Spain and has hosted numerous international competitions.
